Big Daddy’s® pizza adds two on-trend flavors


May 26, 2016 — Adding more on-trend flavors to our ever-popular Big Daddy’s® pizza portfolio, the K-12 team from Schwan’s Food Service recently launched two new varieties that we think both food-service operators and students will be excited about.

The team recently launched Big Daddy’s® Primo Four Meat and Big Daddy’s® Primo Buffalo Chicken pizzas that meet child nutrition standards and feature our whole-grain rich crust. The new flavors were developed after a thorough student testing.

In addition to the two new varieties, food-service operators will also love the culinary versatility. Different sauces and toppings can easily be added to the pizzas to add more complex flavor options to the menu.

“From both a student and food-service operator perspective, the addition of the two new pizzas is beneficial,” said Senior Marketing Manager Evan Carlson. “The new flavors add variety beyond the basic cheese and pepperoni options for students which will increase menu appeal and satisfy cravings with on-trend flavors.”

Flavor profiles of the two new varieties include:

  • The Buffalo Chicken variety features a sauce made with Franks RedHot® sauce* and ranch dressing. It is topped with white-meat chicken that is seasoned with paprika. The pizza is finished with a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.
  • The Four Meat pizza uses the Big Daddy’s® Primo red sauce and is topped with beef, ham, sausage, pepperoni and 100 percent mozzarella cheese.
