The Charlie Awards are the Twin Cities area’s “Academy Awards” of the food-service community. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the diversity and excellence of Twin Cities restaurants. Winners were announced Sunday at the eighth annual Charlie Awards event. Other finalists that were up for the award in the same category included Carrie Riggs from Alma and Diane Moua from Soigné Hospitality (Spoon and Stable and Bellecour).

According to the Charlie Awards, the Outstanding Baker/Pastry Chef category recognizes a working baker or pastry chef with at least five years of experience who is an artist creating masterpieces of desserts and morning pastries.
